What am I looking at?

Four models on one Polish frame, drawn on the same colour scale so they can be read against each other. COSMO is IMGW-PIB's own 2.8 km mesoscale run — a real national model, published openly under the EU high-value-dataset rules, and drawn by almost nobody outside the institute. ICON-EU at 7 km, the Met Office Global at 10 km and ECMWF IFS carry the range.

Switching model holds the valid time, not the forecast hour, so a difference between the tabs is a real disagreement between the models rather than an artefact of comparing two different moments.

Three fields here come off COSMO's model levels rather than its surface, which is what the fifty-level feed makes possible and what no other public forecast site for Poland publishes: the low-level inversion winter smog forms under, the smog index built from it, and the halny coming down off the Tatras. Colour ramps are pinned to absolute values. For warnings, IMGW-PIB is always the authority.
